Mesa Verde

We are lucky enough to get to travel all around Colorado and visit beautiful places all the time so sometimes we forget the beautiful place we live.

Summer's Last Hurray 8/2014

We never get tired of Ridgway, Co so we decided to spend our last summer camping trip there.  I think the pictures below explain why we love it so much.

Ridgway is one of the best places in the world to see Alpenglow.

Looking back toward the sunset.

Poor pup, waiting for us to finish dinner. When we are in Ridgway we love going to Thai Paradise.

Andy tried to cut his finger with the ax. Luckily he missed.

Grand Lake, CO and Front Range Trip 7.23.14

We were fortunate enough to get 4 days off in July. A big feat when you both work for the park service.

Stop 1: Red Rocks Amplitheater, Morrison, CO Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden

3 Rangers at the concert

Stop 2:  Waterwold

We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures. Highlight; the new water coaster

Stop 3: Grand Lake, Blue Ridge Trail, and the Eastman Camp

Stop 4: Rocky Mountain National Park

Mesa Verde is only 265 miles away

Marmot : or a whistle pig

Pika, hard to tell where it is. Code name; alpine farmer

Mesa Verde needs some signs like Rocky has. The bear below had to be captured and released in a remote area. It was having too much fun knocking down hummingbird feeders.
